Unoffensible Demo Version 0.1.21
This is only a very small update. From feedback it was made clear to me that the hand interaction point was not clear enough. Players tried to grab things with their hands, the transparent controllers were not visible enough to signal you need to use them as a tool. So in this update the controllers have been made opaque .
While working on a standalone version for the quest 3 there was a lot of cutting in the shaders to find enough performance gain to make it run at an acceptable level. Profiling a lot also popped up some performance wasting code, so this is also fixed in the PC version. Although on PC the CPU is more of a problem than the GPU, so it would typically just pull through the issues.
While the quest version performance is not good enough to publish the game on applab, I'll try to get it into some players hands to see if they bump into other issues. Most of the time the 72 FPS can be held, but in big battels it can drop to ~30 FPS. The game (amount of units ect.) is the same as the PC version, so it does seem like it could be done.
